The sniper is very difficult to target, as by the time you have, he's taken you out from long range. If you like hanging back and picking off targets from distance, you'll enjoy the sniper class. To be successful you need to find the out of site hard to find areas. Once you have found your little hidey-hole the sniper can pick off targets like the heavy with ease. The sniper is also effective for taking out the medic that is supporting the heavy. Once you've taken out the medic, it will allow your team to progress much quicker. Your shot will become more powerful the longer you stay scoped on your target. To let you know how charged you are the laser scope expands. On the downside, don't expect to be able to pick off targets at close range with this weapon.
Using a cloak to blend and disguise himself, the spy is a little like James Bond on Team Fortress 2 servers. With the butterfly knife he can take out foes in one smooth movement. However if you do move out of range you can be spotted, and the move isn't instant. No weapons are available while the spy is cloaked and if you do draw a weapon other than the electro sapper, you will be spotted. The electro sapper is used to take out engineer's buildings, disabling them and slowly destroying them. Thus it is best to place the sapper and then take out the engineer as the sapper can be removed with just two whacks of the engineers wrench. Don't forget that if you can see the disguise on a spy, he's friendly. If you fancy yourself as James Bond, the spy is worth a look.
