Yes, Call of Duty is back, for the 6th successive year. This November brings us the part two to Call of Duty Black Ops, which in my viewpoint is the best COD game. So normally I had high expectations for the project, zombies, and multiplayer.
Lets get the campaign out of the way initially. The story takes place in 2025 and has goals sprinkled in, that are set during the rivalry. Black Ops 2 is a disappointment on the story front for me. The practically simply fail to remember most of the things from the first on and is now just an additional COD campaign that delivers you every where and you don't know what the heck is going on. But the visuals are nicer than previous installations and you still have all the huge ceremony. Although the tale wont thrill, the project is still fun to play through.
Treyarch struck gold with zombies back when they launched Globe at War and is now attached to every COD game they launch. The graphics look much better than ever before and gameplay feels fantastic. Tranzit mode is a good touch and I like the idea of a bus taking you to different areas to fend off zombies. The normal survivor mode is back and is wonderful.
Now for multiplayer. Well, its the best Call of Duty multiplayer ever. The gameplay feels absolutely perfect. Its smooth and fast paced and is really enjoyable to play. The new choice 10 create a course is a much invited break from the usual. The selection of firearms is good, however not as wide as previous COD games. There are the usal game modes and they have actually added kill confirmed this time around. You could status your guns two times with a max level of 20. There are ten prestige's and 55 ranks now. All the maps are typical to really great and well created. Probably the greatest change to the multiplayer would be dumping the killstreaks for point streaks. Its much tougher to build your point streaks up, since they reset after you perish. However it does produce even more calculated choices and makes you consider how you will play.
This is a truly good Call of Duty game and is now the brand-new criterion of the collection. I think taking Call of Duty to the near future was an excellent selection and cant wait to see where it goes next.
