Kinect is one of the most inspiring gaming systems to come out since the original Xbox. I think it's only fair to talk about some of the upcoming Kinect games that have been declared for the 2012 gaming year.
There were a lot of exciting statements at this past E3 conference. One of the games that were previewed was Star Wars Kinect. This game is going so far the nearest game-players will get to feeling like a genuine Jedi. Thru hand motions and voice activation you can turn on and shut off your light saber. Use both hands to force lift objects from your trail and step up for motions like force speed. It's supposed to be released in April 2012.
In the fitness category for approaching Kinect games is Zumba Fitness. If you're into fitness and more significantly Zumba, you may appreciate the quantity of work that has gone into this game. All of the instructors have been motion caught in the studio. Their bodies and facial features have been rigorously scanned and recorded for accuracy. I think this may be the nearest folk will come to live Zumba in the world of the gamer.
Another one of the imminent Kinect games that I am looking forward to is Story the Journey. Sitting in a chair you can place your hand on the reins of your horse. Use one hand to conjure wizardry, and attack enemies. Face up to dismount and you need to use a sword, or attack with your hands. Through some advances hand motions you can conjure some pretty advance magic features.
Kinect has really caught the gamer's world by force allowing for Playstation game franchises to grow in ways unheard of. Are you prepared for this? Minecraft is coming to Kinect! If you are into the Indy game scene you can be excited that this popular Indy game will be making an appearance sometime early 2012.
Eventually Tom Clancy's Spook Recon. This game is going to allow some features never previously heard of in the games community. All of the gun elements can be dismantled and shared between any gun. So if you like a particular scope but it is not available on your favourite gun, in this game it is going to be. You need to use hand or voice commands and using one hand to target, you use the other to shoot by opening and closing the other hand. The accuracy looks amazing.
Keep an eye out for these wonderful upcoming Kinect games and be sure to comment on your experiences with them.
