By Obi Wan Kenobi

It was when SWTOR was first spoken of, it was greeted with much enthusiasm, which grew exponentially as gameplay videos, stunning landscape images, and resources on SWTOR history and planet systems were released. The game takes place several millenia before Darth Vader's violent uprising, during a time when tensions between the Empire and the Republic are at their highest. Years before, the Republic came out as the winner when faced with a surprise attack by the Empire, but the following decades brought war and the Republic had to face defeat during certain battles. After many setbacks, treachery included and failed negotiations, the Republic had no other option than to accept the Treaty of Coruscant, which put an end to the war but handed over several territories to the Empire.

During these turbulent times that players enter the game, at this stage you are immediately faced with one of the many decisions that will affect future gameplay - whether to align with the forces of the Empire or the Republic. Next, players must make the important decision of choosing a class within the side they choose to align with. The Republic offers the classes of Jedi Knight, Trooper, Jedi Knight, Smuggler and Jedi Consular, while the Empire has a Bounty Hunter, Sith Warrior, Imperial Agent, and Sith Inquisitor. The classes all have different functions and benefits and you most likely want to do some research before a decision is made.

You will find many new game features, including space combat space combat. Utilizing starships that may be unique for each class, gamers journey through the galaxy and have to deal with difficulties that come along with space travel, including hostile fighters and treacherous obstacles. Other plants also become accessible and open to exploration with the help of space travel.

In addition, there are many questlines to overcome and companions that can be acquired by completing them. Companions can be of good use as part of a crew that is at the player's command, which can be helpful if the player is unavailable and needs resources gathered or items crafted while away. PVP options are also featured in SWTOR, including multiple combatzones where the both sides battle for a variety of rewards. Having a good team and working well together is crucial in PvP and the new flashpoints, which can be cumbersome without excellent communication and mutual understanding.

New game content can be frustrating for any player, and SWTOR guides are a necessity with games as huge and rich in content as this one. Guides will be able to help players who are just getting in to SWTOR and seasoned players because they hold such a wealth of information.

For beginners, there's information about how you should get started, which consists of class details and leveling tips. For you who have already started their journey or are getting ready for end-game content, SWTOR guides can help you with information about flashpoints and raids.
