Staying up all night for marathon gaming sessions

If you are a game fanatic, there could be times where you have to stay up all night or maybe go on an on for long hours. However, it's not that easy. Your body gets tired, your eyes just don't stay open, and your mind just says, let it go. If you are a serious gamer, then you need to take steps to ensure that you manage to carry on these long sessions and that too with no mistakes.

One of the most important things that you need to do is eat plenty of carbs and proteins before your game. These will provide you with enough energy as well as keep hunger at bay. However, be careful and don't overstuff yourself. A big meal will only make you feel sleepy and make it difficult for you to concentrate.

Have a big breakfast but let the lunch be lighter and the dinner be even lighter. A cup of coffee, herbal tea and a piece of candy will be helpful during the short breaks that you may get during the gaming sessions. However, avoid too much of caffeine or you may end up crashing as soon as the effect wears off and it may reduce your concentration too.

You should also consider taking multi-vitamin supplements each day since these will provide you with enough nutrients to carry on with your gaming for hours on end. While choosing a multi-vitamin, choose one that is good for your eye health. A good vision supplement should include vitamin A, B complex, C, D, and E and also lutein and zeaxanthin.

You should also consider taking fish oil in liquid or capsule form for your computer gaming sessions. These are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. These essential fatty acids are considered to be good for your eyesight as well as the rest of your body.

It is true that sleep will do you good and you will be more productive with a little bit of sleep. However, you can't actually stay awake for days on end without sleeping and without falling prey to any serious health problems. So, don't let your mind trick you into quitting and dozing off.

Use bright lights since they will help you in staying awake. If you feel sleepy or just can't keep your eyes open, a splash of cold water onto the face will do the trick.
