WoW Level 85 And Now What Happens Next

By Jurinsthea Smith

After grinding through three expansions, players of Blizzard's hit MMORPG World of Warcraft are now hitting the latest level cap. Since the latest expansion, Cataclysm, was released in December, the number of players who have made the level cap has gone up daily. For players who are at WoW level 85 and now what happens is the question that they are asking. Fortunately, there are several different paths they can take to elongate their playtime.

If a player enjoys spending time in end-game raids, they should immediately focus on gearing up once they hit 85. As before, end game raids require characters geared better than quest rewards and most crafting can provide. Players who focus on running heroic instances will find themselves quickly geared and ready for the first Cataclysm raids.

Once you've gotten your raiding gear, start focusing on upgrading through raiding. If you play a hybrid spec, be certain you're gearing your main spec before your secondary: taking off-spec gear over people who need it for their primary is bad form. Once you acquire gear, make sure it's enchanted and gemmed. This gives you a step up on getting a slot in another raid.

Attacking the opposite faction is always fun, and is even more so once you've hit level cap. With two new battlegrounds for PvP fans, you can take a break from questing to smash horde or alliance. There are also PvP dailies to grind out with the new expansion. If you're experiencing out of game stress, burning it off in game with PvP is a great way to reduce it.

If you're ready to take it to the next PvP stage, start getting your gear together. Arenas are back, and at 85 the stakes are higher than ever. With the latest season, new titles, ratings, and awards are up for grabs, so be sure your team is geared up and ready before you queue up for a match.

If you don't like raiding and PvP isn't your idea of fun, focus on your achievements once you hit 85. You can work on the new secondary skill of archaeology while you grind out quests and reputation for Loremaster, and explore all the new areas in Azeroth for The Explorer. Achievement grinding is an enjoyable way to spend the day, whether you're playing solo or with a group.

If you've hit wow level 85 and now what is the question on your mind, take a step back before committing to anything. While World of Warcraft is a fun game, in the end it is just that - a game. Don't let Azeroth take priority over your offline responsibilities. If you can find a happy medium, enjoy your time at level cap and enjoy the new world brought about by Cataclysm.
